Two women walking reflect their images on the water and give birth to the exaltation of the geometry and architecture of Sheikh Zayed’s Grand Mosque.

Just two years after he first took up photography, United Arab Emirates (UAE) photographer Ali Al Hajri won second place in the Architecture category at SIPAContest with his beautiful image, “Women Reflection,” depicting two women walking through the vast Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Dubai.

The mosque is one of his favorite places to visit, Hajri says. “It’s a very peaceful place to be and watching visitors admiring the Islamic architecture is a blessing – this photograph captures that, showing the visitors and the architecture in the same frame.”

Hajri says he is currently enjoying wildlife photography. He visited Tanzania for a photo safari for the first time in February 2017 and will return in August for the Great Migration.

“In Africa and anywhere that has amazing wildlife,” he says, “it is incredible to experience being in the wild where mother nature forces her powers and humans are the weak species in that kingdom.”
