For Russian wildlife photographer Sergey Gorshkov, it is his camera that connects him to the world he wants to protect. And each year, his feeling of alarm grows as environmental concerns continue to put the natural world and animals he loves so much in peril. “Through the lens of the camera, I can see things, take photographs and try to reproduce the beauty of wild nature, a piece of what I have seen and felt being there…I want to photograph the native wildlife as it is, what it always was and how it should remain for our children,” he says.
